Views of Gijón Marina

Our dining room looks directly out onto the Gijón marina. Large windows, natural light, and a warm atmosphere turn every service into one of the best panoramic experiences in Cimadevilla.

It is the perfect space for quiet meals, family celebrations, and romantic dinners as the port lights up at dusk. Our product-focused grilled cuisine is served here calmly, at just the right distance from the sea.

We adapt the dining room for groups, events, and special menus, always maintaining the Mercante hallmark: close service, honest produce, and a privileged setting facing the Cantabrian Sea.

Sea, Embers & Port Cuisine

At Mercante, we embrace the maritime tradition of Gijón and bring it to the grill. We work daily with fish fresh from the market, seasonal seafood, and meat cuts selected for their flavor and balance.

Our dishes are born from fire: natural charcoal grills, precise temperatures, and just the right touch to enhance flavor without masking it. In the dining room, a warm and close atmosphere reminiscent of old port taverns, with today's comfort and aesthetics.

It is a cuisine that smells of the sea and tastes of embers. An honest approach, direct and with its own identity.

Seasonal Asturian produce. Whole fresh market fish. Fresh seafood (market availability). Signature grilled meats. Traditional roots, modern technique. Maritime vibe in the heart of Cimadevilla.

A Maritime Tavern in Motion

The Mercante bar is the territory of great tapas: homemade croquettes, falso matrimonio (anchovy & boquerón duo), grilled sausage, mussels with sobrasada, pork belly torreznos, marinated dogfish, or line-caught squid. Seafood and grilled plates to be enjoyed with vermouth, cider, beer, or a good glass of wine.

Small plates designed for sharing, chatting, and experiencing the flavor of the port, both inside and on the terrace, right in the Cimadevilla neighborhood.
